www.SoulWinning.info

If you want an absolutely incredible soul winning resource page, check out http://www.soulwinning.info/. I believe this page is operated by the same people who publish http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/. I found these as I was browsing sites that have MP3 sermons available for download. There are a ton here, as well as links to good tract producers and you can even listen to Shelton Smith do his Sword of the Lord broadcast! If you are a soul winner, or you are aspiring to become one, this is a great place to start.

Teen soulwinning has been something we've enjoyed in our ministry during the longer summer evenings. It's a neat activity because it gives teens who otherwise don't get exposure to serving God in this capacity a place to learn under the supervision of their youth director. If you want your teenagers to develop a heart for God and a desire to win the lost, get them out there knocking doors and sharing the gospel!

One thing that I did not like about this book was how Dr Hyles describes how he tricked a man into praying a prayer, and then declared that man "saved" because he prayed. I'm not a huge fan of Dr Hyles methods anyway, but that was very underhanded and I don't believe that the man really got saved through such trickery. I don't appreciate everything Ron Comfort and Kirk Cameron stand for, but I do tend to like their soulwinning style better. :-) About any of the rest of their ministry I don't know about it, and I don't like Ray Comforts "Comfortable KJB".

Wow, thanks for the heads up! I wasn't trying to promote the book as much as the site itself, so I changed the image. I didn't realize Brother Hyles actually had stuff like that in his writings, however I've heard a lot of people say that his "1,2,3 pray after me" methods don't incorporate repentence. I am a firm believer in letting the Holy Spirit convict someone of their need for salvation, and if that person is truely repentent, we shouldn't need to cajole them into getting saved. Sadly, there are extremes on both sides. Some people try to make salvation so easy that the sinner doesn't even need to repent, and others go to such extremes to make sure they don't get any false conversions that they never lead anyone to the Lord. As for me, I don't follow Hyles, Trieber, Schaap, Chappell, Gray, or anyone else. I follow Christ. I wish more Christians would have this mindset and not become so enamored with an iconic figure that they ignore the Bible. Thanks for your imput!

Hi David. I'm glad you didn't think I was attacking you, coz I wasn't. I was attacking something I hate with a passion in that particular book lol. Anyway our church kinda has a balance between the two extremes which is what we need to have. We have had four people saved lately and our church only started in May and we don't have a lot of members yet. Anyhow I'm glad to see you've narrowed down the focus of your blog to youth ministries. If I ever had a ministry outside of my home, it would be youth ministry. I have a passion for it, and am currently working on some articles and stuff for teenage girls. I have a blog devoted to young ladies to encourage them to still live at home until marriage etc. I also have other articles about teen issues. I'm always working on more. lol. Have a great day David.
