San Diego County Fires

My former home is burning, and it's not revival fires that are turning everything to smoldering rubble. Once again the Santa Ana winds that occur every year have caused routine forest fires to become huge disasters. My only thought is this. I wonder if somewhere in New Orleans there is a Pastor watching the news thinking that this must be God's judgement on the wickedness of those Southern Californians. Just a thought...

I have thought this very thing when I read or see a video covering the fires in California. I thought the same thing about New Orleans when Katrina went through. And I'm thinking the same thing of our state here in Georgia when we are so in deep in a drought that we may not see our way out. Lakes are drying up and water restrictions are very strict. We can't water our lawns or wash our cars unless we pay a fine of $1000 if we get caught. They are even talking of limiting us even more with our water. God's judgment is on this nation!! When will we wake up and realize it??

I think you are right, however I think we can see God's hand of judgement all through history. The more recent tragedies stand out in our minds, but it doesn't seem to me that this is an exception.
