AAA Ministries Soul Winning Seminar with John Nordstrom

Last week we had the pleasure of having John Nordstrom from AAA Ministries visit and conduct a soul-winning seminar with over 40 people in attendance. 

The Bible says in Proverbs 11:30
"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise."

Brother Nordstrom's training is designed to equip Christians to give a clear, understandable presentation of the Gospel so they can witness to Anyone, Anywhere, Anytime (AAA).   Being someone who lives what he teaches gives him the ability to teach from personal experience and set an example for other Christians who may be too shy to share the Gospel. 

I've personally attended his training on 3 or 4 occasions, and every time I do I learn something that helps me immensely.  While every Christian should be able to share their faith, training them how to communicate effectively to help someone else understand their lost condition and their need for a Savior should be a fundamental part of every Church's outreach program. Thank you brother Nordstrom!

I want to express my thanks for your enthusiastic involvement and generosity during our pie auction. Your support of our teenagers allowed us to raise over $950 for Mt. Zion Baptist Camp, and was a huge encouragement to the young people who participated. Thank you for giving, and for being such a blessing. I have no doubt that your donations will yield dividends as we watch our next generation of Christians get challenged to serve Christ with their lives.

Pie Auction July 14th

Join us this Sunday, July 14th, and help us raise funds for Mt. Zion Baptist Camp!  We'll be hosting a pie auction in both services where you will have the opportunity to bid on multiple pies made fresh by our young people.

Registration Deadline for Youth Conference - June 1st

Youth Conference is coming, and June 1st is the deadline to register and still get the $160 rate.  If you haven't already, please contact Brother Scott or Mrs. Scott to confirm with them that you're going.  You'll also need to bring your registration fee of $160 to church on Sunday so we can send the check in.  This is the 30th Annual National Youth Conference, and it looks like it's going to be a good one.  See you there!

Thanks For A Great Car Wash!

I want to thank everyone who participated and helped make the car wash this year a great one!  Together, we raised $690.00 between donations and our share of the profits, which will go a long way toward offsetting the costs of transportation to Youth Conference and Mt. Zion Baptist Camp.  Your efforts and hard work paid off, and you should be proud of yourselves.

Thank you to the parents who brought your teenagers to the event, and to all the church members who brought vehicles for us to wash.  Your patronage and donations above and beyond the price of the car wash really mean a lot to us.  Thank you for your generosity.  There's no way we could make this happen with you.

Also, thank you to Antonio and the team at 24 Seven Food & Fuel.  They not only allowed us to take over their car wash for two days, but shared the profit with us.  Thanks for providing a great venue, and for your generosity, which allowed us to host a superior event.

My hope is that we can make this an annual fundraiser, and continue to ease the financial burden of getting to Youth Conference and Camp with a little elbow grease.

I'd like to say thank you to all of you who participated in making our car wash a huge success this past weekend. We had a number of teenagers come and help, and a lot of parents who pitched in to get them there.  Also, thank you to everyone who came to our car wash and donated.  With donations alone, we made over $290, And have yet to find out how much our portion of the profits were. Congratulations, and thank you all!
